Clearing the cache on your browser

When changes are made to browser-based applications, the best way to ensure those changes are picked up by the system immediately is to clear your cache and cookies.

This article guides you through how to do this on the following browser types:

Chrome
  1. Open your Chrome Browser
  2. Click on the ellipses (3 vertical dots) in the top right corner of your browser
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu that appears and click on "Settings"
  4. In the "Search Settings" search bar, type "cache" then select the "Delete browsing data" option
  5. In the pop up window that appears, change the time range to "All time", then untick the "Browsing history", and ensure the other 2 options are ticked. Then click the "Delete Data" button
  6. You can now close this window, and reload your browser, and go to the required web page
Edge
  1. Open your Edge browser
  2. Click on the ellipses (3 vertical dots) in the top right corner of your browser
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu that appears and click on "Settings"
  4. Select "Privacy, search and services" in the left menu panel, then select the "Clear browsing data now" option
  5. In the pop up window that appears, change the time range to "All time", then untick the "Browsing history" and "Download History", and ensure the other 2 options are ticked. Then click the "Clear Now" button
  6. You can now close this window, and reload your browser, and go to the required web page
Firefox
  1. Open your Firefox browser
  2. Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner of your browser
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu that appears and click on "Settings"
  4. Select "Privacy & Security" in the left menu panel, then scroll down and select the "Clear Data" button under the "Cookies and Site Data" section
  5. In the pop up window that appears, change the time range to "All time", then untick the "Browsing & download history", and ensure only the "Cookies and site data" and "Temporary cached files and pages" options are ticked. Then click the "Clear" button
  6. You can now close this window, and reload your browser, and go to the required web page
